On 30th September 2006 Martyn Herbert (middle of photo) and friend called in to visit us on their trek to raise money for the Pied Piper Appeal. Their aim was to call in to all pubs in the 2006 Good Beer Guide in the Gloucestershire CAMRA area over a series of trips by foot and public transport.

The picture shows Fred Trinder (Left - the best landlord ever to run the Beaufort - of 25 years standing) with Martyn and present day landlord Mark (right), handing over £100 from Hawkesbury Harvest Home Auction to the Pied Piper Appeal, on the occasion of Martyn's fund raising visit.
