This has been a record week for Harmony Gromit’s dish with £373.80p therein, including £12 from Carol Fowler’s Gromit duvet. On top of this we had a massive £500 from one of our lunchtime regulars making a running total of £3506.45p.
Many thanks once again to all who have contributed and a special thanks to Les Trinder for repairing Gromit’s plinth (which has had a hammering with all of the thousands of visitors we’ve had).
Mike and Sophia Truebody in all their wedding finery – complete with bridesmaids, maid of honour and Harmony Gromit!
Best wishes for the future from all at the Beaufort.
Why not plan your family reunion at the Beaufort? Here are the Cox cousins not only enjoying our skittle alley and food, but also our Gromit.
I don’t know what Parish Councillor Mike is doing with Gromit’s dish, but luckily there wasn’t anything to clear up after!
The Beaufort Arms doubles as watering hole for CBRE Charity Bike Ride, Matthew Prior and his team amass over £2000 for their good cause and are seen here enjoying our Gromit. Job well done.
Yikes! The Gromit Open Golf Tournament was a cracker and hundreds of people enjoyed the occasion helping to make even more money for the Grand Appeal.
As usual, Vera and Dave starred on the BBQ, ably assisted by Marlene, Audrey and others – making an impressive £266.50p; the Raffle, conducted by Biggus Dickus, added a further £251. Special thanks must also go to Dick’s partner Fiona, who not only designed the poster but also helped with both the Barbie and the Raffle.
Sterling work from the Hawkesbury Open Committee consisting of Gnome, Ross and Shaun ensured that the event went without a hitch once again.
With the weekly haul in Gromit’s dish of £356.20p we had another great week for the Gromit-o-Meter…

A ‘Gromit Hash’ is coming to the Beaufort on Wednesday 28th August 2013 at 7.30pm. It’s the 1200th run for the Kennet and Avon Hash House Harriers and they’re honouring the Beaufort with their presence.
The local Hash’s are near and dear to the Beaufort’s heart as when we were first in the pub – and struggling – they came along and helped rescue us (along with CAMRA). We’ve been great friends ever since. We did it!
The ‘Gromit Open’ is almost here, this Saturday (10th August) sees our annual Golf Tournament, the teams are fully subscribed but please come along for the evening’s entertainment and prize giving.
All raffle and BBQ proceeds are going to the Grand Appeal and this will be your opportunity to enjoy ‘Hot Gromit’s’, ‘Unleashed Burgers’ and ‘Crackin’ Cheeseburgers’. It’s sure to be a job well done.
Official Gromit Unleashed merchandise has been a sell out; Tea-towels, Mugs (featuring the Beaufort’s Harmony Gromit) have completely sold out along with the Paint Your Own Gromits and Gromit Back Pack Buddy’s – in just one weekend! Please bear with us while we order some more…
