HAWKESBURY WINTER QUIZ LEAGUE

They say that when the Show’s over, it’s time to light the fires and pull the curtains. It’s also time to start sharpening your wits so that you can prepare to pit them against Hawkesbury’s finest in our winter quiz league, presided over by quizmaster extraordinaire, Mark Steeds. (A lady in Spain writes the questions, Mark reads them, sometimes enduring a great deal of quite unnecessary barracking in the process!)

Teams of four are drawn at random at the first meeting which will be on Sunday 30 October at 8pm at the Beaufort Arms. The quiz proper (if that is the right word) will begin on Sunday 6 November and will continue throughout the winter, every other Sunday, with a charity quiz at Christmas. If you can’t be there on the 30 October but would like to play, please give Jenny Harris a call on 01454 238411 or tell another quiz member. Reserves are always needed and newcomers are made very welcome.
